About Us

The Company
Mambofodadáz is a dance company comprised of power mambo couple Micah Boon and Kathy Cabrera. The two have taught and performed across the United States and abroad, gaining a wealth of experience in the salsa and mambo dance scene.

There has been some confusion as to why this company isn't simply called "Micah and Kathy", since there are only two members and there are no plans of acquiring any more. To clear up all of the ambiguity, a simple answer is provided: A stage name sounds and looks cooler...especially this one.

As performing is one of the main focuses of this company, we wanted a name that would go with us, even ahead of us, as we travel to different places to bring our personal style of mambo to dancers all around the world.

The Name
Speaking of confusion, many have also sought to understand what our name means and why it was chosen. As mentioned earlier, it looks and sounds cool. But some have discovered another meaning in the name. To find it, read it closely and pronounce each syllable clearly and slowly. Then, say it quickly to yourself over and over again...got it?
